How Can I Tell If My Dog Is Going Blind

Alba di Giorgio Caproni

My love, in a bar
mist in the dawn, my love that
long winter chill and wait! Here
where the marble in the blood is cold, and he knows
refresh the eye, now ERM
noise beyond the frost
tram which I hear, that opens and closes in the desert
its doors forever ...? Love, I still
the wrist, and if the glass by the crash
thin has a tremor in his teeth,
is perhaps an echo of those wheels. But you, love,
not tell me now that your place in the sun already
flows, do not tell me that
those doors here, with your pass and already look forward to the death.

from the book Poems of Giorgio Caproni
